Season Announcement Wednesday

I love how there are a great number of professional theatre companies that have partnered up with their local colleges in order to help with venue space, cost, production value, and educating students. This week’s company that I am highlighting is no exception. They provide the city of Aptos with remarkable theatre, and it is a pleasure to announce their 2012 season. Enjoy reading!

Shows/Dates: A Chorus Line (July 13 - August 12); Anything Goes (July 27 - August 19); Escaping Queens ***World Premiere*** (August 10 - 19); A Night at the Nutcracker (December 14 - 30)

Description: Cabrillo Stage is a professional theatre company that is based out of the Aptos area. They utilize Equity and non-Equity talent for the productions. They have produced a variety of titles such as Swing!, Hairspray, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Many of their performers have either come from, currently are, or have moved on to National Tours, or other professional acting gigs. I have personally seen their production of The Last Five Years and it was a remarkable production. The amount of professionalism used whether it be in talent, set design, lighting, or just overall production values is worth the trip and ticket price. This season shows to be yet another great season for the Aptos community and those who drive from all over the coast, Bay Area, and valley to take in their shows.
