Happy Memorial Musical Monday day! I guess it’s a bit of an honor to be celebrating this powerful musical on a day we are remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so the rest of us can enjoy things like musical theatre, and have the freedom to express our opinions through artistic endeavors. This musical, though not bad out of America, still rings the same message true. Enjoy this week’s Musical Monday installment.

Other: A very one-of-a-kind musical; in addition to it’s 3 Tony wins and Theatre World award win, it also received a total of 11 Tony nominations including Best Musical.
Fun Fact: This powerful story was supported by such big name celebrities such as Jay-Z (Producer) and Will & Jada Pinkett Smith (Producers). Also, the legendary Lillias White played the poignant role of Fela’s mother, Funmilayo.
So there is a little more knowledge of what has to the best choreographed show I have ever seen. I also had the pleasure of seeing Lillias White perform her Broadway role, which only added to the powerful message Fela! passionately displays on the stage. The national tour is still going so hopefully it comes to a city near you. Now everybody say Yeah Yeah and then go see the show!
