This past Tuesday I took in the first performance of the final week of Fresno State’s season concluding play, The Arabian Nights. Director/Choreographer Ruth Griffin has taken Mary Zimmerman’s script and sculpted a finely crafted ensemble piece led incredibly by some strong actors. To see The Arabian Nights at Fresno State will not only be an invigorating experience for you, but will redefine what it means to present an ensemble piece.

Sometimes plays debut and do not get as much recognition as they should. Occasionally, a play has some beautifully written music accompany it.
